To the Canadians on my friends list, if I could ask you to consider donating to a very good cause. Friends of Veterans Canada is a registered charity raising money to finance the creation of an Online Veterans Video Library. They are interviewing as many Canadian WWII, Korean and peacekeeping war vets as they can to document their war experiences. Many of these veterans have never spoken of their service before. And they are aging. The last remaining Canadian WWI veteran passed away this year, and IDK, I just find that terribly sad and worrying. I think it's important that we do everything we can to ensure our children understand and respect/appreciate the sacrifices made, the physical and mental toll war takes, the enormous significance of those events. This charity's work is a great way to do that.

They have raised more than $50,000 of the $75,000 they need to fund the work, so any size donation is a help and brings them closer to their goal. You can donate at any TD Canada Trust bank, or online using PayPal (the link for which is available on the website).

Thanks everyone. ♥
